Tried something new on the BW 2550 to solve an issue a customer had. The owner wanted a windlass and pulpit but did not like the typical fiberglass units that sick out of the bow and usually break or stress crack. I wanted a clean look and liked the parts we had used in several of the BW 355′s as well as the BW 2850. So, we built a plug and molded the deck to accept the windlass required for the boat size and installed a polished SS anchor fitted to an articulating SS roller. The anchor self launches once tension is released from the chain which can be done at the helm or from a second switch located in the bow. Worked out really well…What do you think????
